Self-taught software engineer. Started 30 years ago in school with BBC micros and the 380z. Quickly got into assembly language and machine code, then ended up dabbling in many languages/areas over the years.

Now working as a c++ real-time systems engineer with desktop application support, and web (PHP/SQL/JS) development on the side, whilst home-studying for a computing degree with the OU.

I'm also battling my way through learning Python web development. Many new challenges, but lots of fun.

My years programming embedded systems have now led to to start hobbying in electronics & robotics, mainly focused around the Arduino & AtMega.
